Hydrogel-Based Bioelectronics and Their Applications in Health Monitoring

Flexible bioelectronics exhibit promising potential for health monitoring, owing to their soft and stretchable nature. However, the simultaneous improvement of mechanical properties, biocompatibility, signal-to-noise ratio these devices monitoring poses a significant challenge. Hydrogels, with loose three-dimensional network structure that encapsulates massive amounts water, are solution. Through incorporation polymers or conductive fillers into hydrogel special preparation methods, hydrogels can achieve unification excellent properties such as self-healing, adhesion, making them hot material bioelectronics. Currently, hydrogel-based be used fabricate flexible motion, bioelectric, biomolecular acquisition human further clinical applications. This review focuses on materials, devices, applications The main research advances summarized firstly. Then, we provide focused discussion which classified skin-attachable, implantable, semi-implantable depending depth penetration location device. Finally, future challenges opportunities envisioned.
